Frequently asked questions
Are the insoles suitable for all activities?
Our insoles require a compression of 2 to 3 mm. They are compatible with most activities, including walking, hiking, and everyday sports.
They are not suitable for alpine skiing,as this type of boot is very tight and prevents the compression necessary for the insoles to function properly. However, they are suitable for ski touring and snowshoeing.
Can I use them barefoot, or do I need to wear socks?
The material is hypoallergenic, except for individuals allergic to TPU or copper. Wearing socks is recommended for added comfort.
Should I choose a larger shoes size?
Our insoles are 6 mm thick. If your shoes are already tight, we recommend selecting a larger size or removing the original insole if it is not glued in.
Are the insoles comfortable?
Yes. Each insole contains nearly 260 cells 260 air-filled cells that act as air cushions that cushion every footfall. As a result, they are extremely comfortable and absorb shock far more effectively and evenly than soles with only a few cells.
Does everyone feel the thermal effects?
Thermal effects are not always immediately felt. However, by the end of the day, 90 % of users report that their feet neither felt too hot nor too cold and remained within a comfortable zone. The key advantage of ClimFeet insoles is their ability to be unobtrusive, they are neither a heater nor an air conditioner.

I don’t feel the heat/coolness right away is this normal?
Yes. ClimFeet warms gradually, not abruptly. The effect is measured over time, not immediately. The real test is at the end of the day. ClimFeet acts on the actual temperature of the foot, not on immediate sensation. Perception may be delayed due to:
The low number of thermal sensors in the foot
Reduced peripheral circulation
Gradual adaptation of the nervous system
In our winter tests, about 10 % of participants did not feel the warmth immediately, even though foot temperature had increased by more than 3 °C. We recommend using the insoles for at least one hour to fully experience thermal comfort.
Do they work effectively in all temperatures?
Yes, ClimFeet insoles provide warmth and cooling in all conditions. However, they are more effective when outdoor temperatures are very low or very high, as foot compression generates greater thermal flux. In moderate conditions (around 20–30 °C), the effect may be less noticeable, but the insole still gradually regulates the foot’s temperature.
What differentiates your insoles from other thermal solutions?
Traditional solutions rely on chemical pads or battery-powered insoles. They provide rapid heat, but “heating strongly” is not always safe: temperature spikes can create overly hot zones, posing a risk of burns, especially since the foot’s thermal perception is delayed. Batteries also carry a fire risk.
ClimFeet works without a battery, eliminating these risks, and provides gradual, controlled warmth without “hot spots.” Comfort is long-lasting: the effect is continuous and not limited by time, unlike other devices. Additionally, the insole can both warm or cool the feet depending on its orientation, offering a unique dual functionality.

What is the lifespan of the insoles?
The lifespan of our insoles depends on usage, but they are designed to last over time. At a minimum, we guarantee them for 1 year.
Why is there copper in the insoles?
Copper improves thermal transfer and evenly distributes warmth or cooling across the entire insole.
Is it difficult to cut the insoles?
No. A simple pair of scissors is sufficient. The material is easy to cut and can be adapted to all shoe sizes.
What happens if I make a mistake while cutting?
We recommend cutting the insoles slightly larger so you can adjust them if needed. Cutting too small does not significantly affect performance, as there are enough cells to ensure proper function.
SoleCooler cannot be held responsible for improper cutting. If you are unsure, please contact us before making your first cut.
How do I clean and maintain the insoles?
The insoles are easy to clean with water and soap, or with alcohol. The material retains its shape and thermal properties even after cleaning and trimming.
Is the product compliant with European standards?
